Combination valve for the secondary air system: Check

l	The hose connections must be free of leaks.

Note

Do not use compressed air for the following verification!

Checking sequence

–	Detach engine cover -arrows- (according to version).

–	Remove the pressure hose -arrow- from the Secondary air pump motor -V101- .

Note

To release the tubes press hose connections together.

–	Blow lightly into the pressure hose to the combination valve. Combi-valve must be closed.

–	Blow strongly into the pressure hose to the combination valve. Combination valve must open.

If the combi valve does not open or is always open:

–	Replace the secondary air injection valve → Chapter .
