Tightening procedure of the Poly-V belt sprocket bolts > < Assembly overview

Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Torque wrench (40 - 200 Nm) -V.A.G 1332-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Mounting tool -T10117-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Extractor kit -T20143-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Remove front right-hand side wheel housing liner: → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. Gr.66
–  Poly-V belt: Removing → Chapter
   
–  Remove the crankshaft pulley, locking it with the counterhold -3415- y -3415/1-.

–  Insert the extractor -T20143- and extract the seal -1-.
–  Remove the sleeve of the crankshaft journal and clean contact surfaces of the crankshaft sprocket and the sleeve.
Fitting
  Note
Make sure that the contact surfaces of the pulley, the attachment bolt, the sleeve and the crankshaft sprocket are free of grease and oil.

–  Place the sleeve -T10117- on the bushing and slide the seal along the bushing
–  Remove the bushing sleeve -T10117-.

–  Insert the seal using the assembly tool -T10117- as far as possible in the distribution housing by tapping it evenly
Continue installation following reverse order for removing.
