t  If during repairs to the engine the oil is found to contain large quantities of metal shavings and particles caused by seizing, for example from the bed plate bearings, to avoid further damage derived from this problem, apart from cleaning the oil lines perfectly, the oil filter must be replaced.
t  Oil the support and slide surfaces before carrying out assembly work.
