Illustration shows injector when removed.
1 - Radial compensation, replace if damaged
2 - Sealing ring for the combustion chamber (Teflon) : replace; when fitting, the ring should not be lubricated at all.
3 - Injector connection element
4 - Spacer ring (replace if damaged)
5 - O-ring (replace, moisten slightly with clean engine oil when fitting)
6 - Support seal (the fuel rail uses the support ring to obtain the necessary force to keep the injector still in the cylinder head).
The sealing ring for the combustion chamber should always be replaced before refitting the high pressure injector.
–  Carefully remove the Teflon ring using a suitable tool (e.g., cut it open using a razor blade or score with a small screwdriver and remove by pulling forward). It is important to ensure that the groove and the continuous ridge in the bottom of the groove are not damaged.
  Note
If the groove is damaged, the injector must be replaced.

–  Before fitting the new Teflon seal, clean the combustion remains from the groove of the sealing ring and the injector rod with a clean cloth
  Note
The illustration shows an injector with „L-shaped connector“. This can be ignored since it is not relevant when replacing the combustion chamber ring seal.
–  To fit the new Teflon seal, use the assembly cone -T10133/5- and the assembly hose -T10133/6-.
  N24-1563
–  Fit the Teflon seal onto the assembly cone. Next use the assembly hose -T10133/6- to pass the Teflon seal evenly from the assembly cone to the injector groove. Do not use any lubricants during this procedure.
  Note
Stretch open the Teflon ring to fit onto the injector. The Teflon ring must therefore be compressed again after it has been fitted. This is done in two steps. The procedure is described below.
Stage 1 of the adaptation of the Teflon ring is carried out with the special tool -T10133/7-.
  A24-0571
–  Apply slight pressure while rotating (approx 180°), and pass the special tool over the injector until reaching the limit, again rotating 180° to return to the starting position.
Stage 2 of the adaptation of the Teflon ring is carried out with the special tool -T10133/8-.
  A24-0574
–  Apply slight pressure while rotating (approx 180°), and pass the special tool over the injector until reaching the limit, again rotating 180° to return to the starting position.
Continue the installation in the reverse order of removal sequence, observing the following:
–  Coat the high pressure injector O-rings with clean engine oil; this makes it easier to insert them onto the fuel rail.
