Faulty injectors cause the following problems:
t  Faults in ignition
t  Pinking in one or several cylinders
t  Engine overheating
t  Loss of power
t  Excessive black smoke in the exhaust
t  High fuel consumption
t  Blue smoke on cold starts
Faulty injectors are found by successively releasing the joining nuts of the injection pipes with the engine on fast idle. If the engine speed remains constant when a nut is loosened, it is an indication that this injector is faulty.
