Engine control unit: adapt to the electronic immobiliser

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Fault reader -V.A.G 1551- or vehicle system checker -V.A.G 1552- with cable -V.A.G 1551/3B-

Checking condition

l	There must be an authorised key.

Arbeitsablauf

–	Connect the fault reader -V.A.G 1551- or the system checker -V.A.G 1552- by means of the -V.A.G 1551/3B- cable.

–	Turn on the ignition.

–	Run the fault reader or system checker bearing in mind the indication on the display:

–	Press key 1 for “Fast data transmission”.

–	Press keys 2 and 5 for the direction code “Starting security” and confirm the entry with Q.

–	Press keys 1 and 0 for the function “Adaptation” and confirm with Q.

–	Press 0 twice for “Channel number 0” and confirm the entry with Q.

Indication on the display:

–	Confirm the entry with Q.

Clear learning values?

Indication on the display:

–	End the adaptation by pressing →.

–	Press the keys 0 and 6 for the function “End data transmission” and confirm with Q.

–	Turn off the ignition.

Note!

When the ignition is turned on again, the identification of the engine control unit will enter the control unit of the immobiliser.
