Note! t
Only -G12- according to TL VW 774 D can be used as a liquid refrigerant additive. Identification mark: red colouring
t
-G12- should not be mixed with any other type of antifreezing additive
t
If the liquid in the compensation tank is brown, -G12- has been mixed with another refrigerant. In this case, the refrigerant must be replaced.
t
-G12- and the liquid anti-freezing additives that bear the legend “according to TL VW 774 D” avoid freezing damage and lime deposits. Additionally, they raise the boiling temperature. It is for these reasons that the system must be filled year-round with anti-freezing and anti-corroding.
t
Thanks to the higher boiling point, the refrigerant helps to guarantee the proper function of the engine, especially in countries with tropical climates, even when it is subjected to heavy loads.
t
The anti-freezer should be guaranteed to approx. the temperatures -25 °C (in tropical climate countries up to approx. -35 °C).
t
The refrigerant concentration need not be reduced with water in the hot season or in hot countries. The percentage of additive should be at least 40%.
t
When a stronger anti-freezing is needed for climatic reasons, the proportion of -G12- can be increased, but only up to 60% (anti-freezing up to approximately -40 °C). Otherwise the anti-freezing protection would be adversely affected. The refrigeration capacity would also worsen.
t
If the radiator, heat exchanger or cylinder head gasket have been replaced, the refrigerant cannot be re-used.
