t  Hand multimeter -V.A.G 1526 A- or multimeter -V.A.G 1715-
t  Diode test lamp -V.A.G 1527 B-
t  Auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594 C-
t  Electric circuits flow diagram
Test conditions
l  Fault reader -V.A.G 1551- (-V.A.G 1552-) connected
l  Ignition OFF
Checking process
  W00-0431
–  Extract the connection -1- from the throttle actuator -V60--2-.
–  Connect the diode lamp -V.A.G 1527 B- using the -V.A.G 1594 C- auxiliary cables connected to the pins 1 + 6 of the connector.
–  Join the pins 4+5 using the auxiliary cables -V.A.G 1594 C-.
–  Connect the ignition and repeat the actuator diagnosis until the throttle actuator is activated.
The indicator diode should be on.
–  Open the throttle a little and reclose it.
   Both diodes should light alternatively
  Note
If the throttle is open too much, remove the auxiliary cable connections to the pins 4+5 and then reconnect them to repeat the test.
–  Run the actuator test until its finished.
–  Disconnect the ignition and connect the connector.
–  Interrogate fault memory → Chapter
Verify the resistances
Test conditions
l  Ignition OFF
Checking process
–  Remove the air inlet duct.
  N24-0140
–  Extract the connection -1- from the throttle actuator -2-.
–  Verify the resistance values on the throttle actuator pins using the multimeter and the auxiliary cables of the -V.A.G 1594 C-.
  N24-0143
Specifications:
between the pins 1+63…200 Ω
between the contacts 4+5
 throttle valve closedmax. 200 Ω
 throttle valve open∞ Ω

If the specifications are not reached between the pins 4+5:
–  Verification of the idle switch → Chapter
