Installing > < CI 38 brake caliper: removal and installation

Removing
The following process is only required to replace the brake calliper or for the repair work described below.
–  Remove wheels.
–  Hang the handbrake cable out of the lever on the brake calliper.
–  Remove the spring clip and pull the handbrake cable out of the lever on the brake calliper.
–  Attach the bleeding hose of the bleeding bottle -SAT 1175B/1- on the bleeding bolt of the brake caliper and open the bleeding bolt.
–  Apply brake pedal depressor -V.A.G 1869/2-.
–  Close the bleeding valve and remove -SAT 1175B/1- remove the bleeding bottle.
–  Unscrew brake line.
   
–  Unscrew both securing bolts from the brake calliper, counterhold the guide bolts for this purpose.
–  Remove the brake calliper from the brake back plate.
