Test for vehicles with four-wheel drive via a Haldex clutch. > < The brake test should be performed on a single-axle rolling road with contra-rotating rollers for four-wheel drive vehicles.
If no test rig is available for four-wheel drive vehicles, the brake test can also be carried out on a standard single-axle rolling road as follows:

Front wheels:
–  Drive the vehicle onto the test rig counter to the direction of travel (backwards).
  Caution
Before starting the rollers, briefly engage 1st gear. In vehicles with automatic gearbox, briefly shift to “D”. This switches off the freewheel lock. Ensure that the front wheels are driven backwards.
–  Carry out the brake test.
Rear wheels:
–  Drive the vehicle onto the test rig in the direction of travel and ensure that the rear wheels are driven forwards. Carry out the brake test.
  Caution
Do not engage reverse gear whilst the rollers are running.
