Removing and installing drive shafts > < Releasing
Tighten
Tighten
Remove any corrosion on the thread of the outer joint before the nut is screwed on.
–  Replace the twelve-sided nut.
  Note
The wheels must not make contact with the floor when tightening the driveshaft as the wheel bearing could be damaged.
–  Apply brake (a second mechanic is required).
–  First pre-tighten the twelve-sided nut to a torque of 50 Nm.
–  Rest the vehicle on its wheels.
–  Re-tighten the twelve-sided nut 45º.
