Swinging arm bonded rubber bushes: replacement Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Tool for removing and placing the rear bushing -U-40452A-

t  Tool for removing and placing the front bushing -T20002- t  Lubrication oil z.B. -G 294 421 A1- Procedure –  Remove the swinging arm → Chapter. Front socket for the swinging arm: remove

–  Remove the socket with the tool -T20002-. Front socket for the swinging arm: fitting –  Apply lubricating oil eg -G 294 421 A1- to the contact surfaces of the socket.

–  Fit the socket with the tool -T20002-. –  Fit the swinging arm → Chapter. Front socket for the swinging arm: remove

–  Remove the socket with the tool -U-40452A-. Fitting position for the rear bushing

One of the arrows stamped on it points towards the rebated area of the swinging arm The rise -arrow- should always point towards the outside of the vehicle. Rear socket for the swinging arm: fitting –  Apply lubricating oil eg -G 294 421 A1- to the contact surfaces of the socket.

–  Fit the socket with the tool -U-40452A-. –  Fit the swinging arm → Chapter.
