Contact corrosion
Contact corrosion can occur if unsuitable fasteners (bolts, nuts, washers etc.) are used on the vehicle.
For this reason, only fasteners with a special surface coating (Dacromet) have been fitted on the vehicle. These components can be recognised by their greenish colour.
In addition, rubber parts, plastic parts and adhesives are made of non-conductive material.
Always install new parts if you are not sure whether used parts can be refitted.
Note:
Always use genuine parts. These have been tested and are compatible with aluminium.
The accessories must be approved by SEAT!
Damage from contact corrosion is not covered under the warranty.
