The bonded metal-rubber bushes have a limited torsion margin. This is the reason why the screw connection is tightened in the swinging arm of the suspension. The vehicle is standing on its wheels when doing so. |
t
| Do not use grease on the bonded metal-rubber bearings! Otherwise there is a danger of malfunction. |
t
| The lubricant oil does not contain acids and penetrates the rubber slowly. This leaves a light sticky layer ensuring the position of the bush. |
t
| Current greases and oils usually contain acids and result in a slippery layer. This could damage the rubber, or for vertical suspension movements the entire bush may twist in its allotment rather than just the rubber. |
