The bonded metal-rubber bushes have a limited torsion margin. This is the reason why the screw connection is tightened in the swinging arm of the suspension. The vehicle is standing on its wheels when doing so.
General instructions
t  Do not use grease on the bonded metal-rubber bearings! Otherwise there is a danger of malfunction.
t  To insert the bonded rubber bushes, use lubricant oil → Spare parts catalogue diluted to 1:9 with water.
t  The lubricant oil does not contain acids and penetrates the rubber slowly. This leaves a light sticky layer ensuring the position of the bush.
t  Current greases and oils usually contain acids and result in a slippery layer. This could damage the rubber, or for vertical suspension movements the entire bush may twist in its allotment rather than just the rubber.
