Shock absorber: removing and fitting > < Removing

Fitting
–  Check that zinc base is not damaged, replace it if necessary.
–  Assemble the spring and upper support.
Always note fitting position:
   
Installation position of the upper spring support
The end of the spring -arrow- should be in contact with the end of the support.
–  Fit the springs.

–  Raise the rear axle until the upper part of the shock absorber enters into its allotment. For this, fit underneath the axle body, the base -T20145- with the hydraulic jack - SAT 1040-.
  Note
When pressing the rear axle upwards, take care that the bodywork does not lift out of the carrier arms of the lifting platform, otherwise the vehicle may tip, if necessary, fasten the vehicle using the support tool - T10038 -.

–  Screw the shock absorber to the running gear using new screws.
Specified torque: 30 Nm + 1/4 rotation (90°).
