Fit the airbag unit . > < Removing and fitting the airbag unit on the driver?s side (Vehicles up to 08.00)

Remove the airbag unit .
Remove the airbag unit .
  Caution
Before carrying out any work on the electrical system and disassembly of the steering wheel, the following operations should be carried out:
t  Connect the earth connection to the battery.
t  Place the wheels facing forwards.
If these instructions are not followed, the airbag may fail later!
–  With the ignition OFF, disconnect the mass connection from the battery.
–  Centre the steering wheel .
   
–  Remove the Allen bolts from the airbag unit.
–  Uncouple the airbag unit from the steering wheel.
–  Disconnect the connectors from the airbag unit.
