Removal:
Removal:
–  Remove the steering box → Chapter.
   
–  Attach the steering box with 2, M10 x 60 bolts, as shown in the diagram.
–  Clean the area of the steering box cover.

–  Remove the tightening clamp of the left dustguard -1- and release the dust guard from its housing on the steering casing.
–  Turn the steering using the adapter -T10304- to centred position.
The measurement should be -a- = 28 mm.

–  Remove the seal -1- of the cover -2-.
–  Mark the assembly position of the cover -2- in relation with the steering casing -arrow-.
–  Remove the cover -2- by unscrewing the bolts -3-.

Avoid making contact with the electrical components -arrow-.
–  Observe the general repair instructions → Chapter.
  Caution
If work is interrupted for extended periods of time, the open casing of the steering box must be covered with a sheet of plastic to protect it from moisture.
–  mark the route of the sender cable in the steering casing.
–  Release the sender cable in the steering housing.

The sender cable of the steering casing has a lock -arrow- for the spiral spring of the steering pinion. When removing the sensor cable, make sure the spiral spring is bent only sufficiently to remove the connector (at most, bend 30º).

–  Separate the connector of the sender cable from the steering pinion.
Lever the contact with a screwdriver (3 mm) to remove it from the spiral spring's casing, in the -direction of the arrow-, as shown in the diagram.

–  Remove the block of the steering casing in the -direction of the arrow-.
–  Release the sender cable carefully from the steering casing.

–  Disconnect the sender cable connector on the power steering control unit - J500 -.
–  Press the button -A- in the -direction of the arrow- to extract the connector.
