Removal
–  Observe the rules for cleaning before beginning fitting work → Chapter
–  Remove left-hand side stowage space.
   
–  Remove the foot rest area cover, to do this, remove the screws -arrows-.

–  Remove the cover -1-; by unscrewing the bolt -arrow-.

–  Unscrew the bolt from the cross member -arrow-.
–  Remove the front wheels.
–  Unscrew the hexagonal nut from the steering rod head.

–  Take the steering rod head from the steering lever with the extractor -U-40063A-

–  Cut off the flexible tubes using the pincers U-30042 -U-30042-
  E48-0069
–  Remove the steering box from the subframe -arrows-.
–  Removing the front exhaust: → Rep. Gr.26.

–  Separate the gearbox from the pendulum support.-1-.
Vehicles with cable gear change

–  Remove the gear change cables support from the subframe -arrow-.

–  Loosen the hoses from the power steering box, cover them with a plastic bag and adhesive tape.

–  Close the screw holes for the power steering transmission using plastic seal screws.

2 - Insert tool eg. Hazet 4550
   Only needed for diesel engine vehicles.
   The return pipe for vehicles using petrol engines is fitted using a hollow bolt -1-
–  Pull out the flexible tubes/tube support.
–  Place the engine and gearbox lifter -SAT 1001- beneath the subframe.

–  Screw out bolts for the subframe -arrows-.
–  Lower the subframe using the engine and gearbox lifter -SAT 1001-
–  Remove the steering box from the cross beam articulation and withdraw it slowly.
When removing the steering box, ensure that the cogs of the steering gear do not lean over or are not locked with the joint.
