Fitting in left-hand drive and right-hand drive vehicles up to identification number 7M SP 020861
Fitting in left-hand drive and right-hand drive vehicles up to identification number 7M SP 020861
–  Push the steering column inwards as far as possible.
–  Hook the column to the cross member and the pedal support block at the same time.
–  Fit new rupture bolts.
–  Tighten the rupture bolts until the heads break off.
–  Tighten the bolt of the steering column/pedal support block, and apply the specified torque → Chapter.
–  Place the steering driveshaft onto the steering pinion, and fold down the hinge.
–  Tighten the bolt of the steering driveshaft, and apply the specified torque → Chapter.
–  Position the steering column combination switch onto the steering lock body, and tighten the bolt.
–  Connect the steering lock body connector.
–  Position the upper lining of the lock body, and tighten it.
–  Position the lower lining of the lock body, and tighten it.
–  Fit the steering wheel, and fasten it with a new bolt.
Tightening torque:
Steering wheel to steering column → Chapter
–  Fit the left-hand side lining situated below the instrument panel.
