Explanation of the ContiSeal tyre
Explanation of the ContiSeal tyre
t  ContiSeal is a sealing compound that the manufacturer Continental has integrated into their tyre manufacturing process as a protective measure.
t  ContiSeal is a self-adhesive and viscose sealing compound that is applied equally on the inside of the tread from shoulder to shoulder.
t  This sealing compound is an integral component of the ContiSeal tyre.

t  ContiSeal tyres are designated by a special symbol on the wall of the tyre.
  Caution
After being punctured, the sealing compound must not be perceived as being a permanent repair measure of the tyre.

t  When the tread of a ContiSeal tyre is penetrated by an object with a diameter of up to 5 mm, the sealing compound encloses this and due to the sealing that occurs almost immediately, prevents the loss of pressure.
  N44-10356
t  The sealing compound can seal most punctures that have been caused by an object with a diameter of up to 5 mm.
t  The ContiSeal system prevents most cases of tyre pressure loss but has not been designed to run with low tyre pressure or without air.
t  With all other aspects, the ContiSeal tyres have the same features as tyres without this system.
