Wheel balance
Before balancing the wheels /tyres, the following conditions should be met:
l  The tyre pressure must be correct.
l  The tyre tread should not have any lateral wear and should have a minimum depth of 4 mm.
l  The tyre should not in any way be cut, punctured or contain foreign bodies, etc.
l  The suspension, steering and suspension rods including the shock absorbers should be in perfect condition.
l  A test drive should first be made.
Test drive prior to balancing
  Note
If a complaint is received for “imbalance while driving” the vehicle should be taken for a test drive before starting the balancing.
–  Identify the imbalance.
–  Record the range of speeds in which imbalance becomes apparent.
–  Immediately after the test drive, raise the vehicle off the ground.
–  Mark the assembly point on the tyre.

–  Remove the wheels from the vehicle → Chapter.
–  Balance the wheels → Chapter.
