Damage to tyres as a result of underinflation > < Inflation pressure loss on the tyre
Check the tyre inflation pressure
Check the tyre inflation pressure
The tyre pressure must be checked regularly. It should be checked every 14 days. Correct type pressure is very important, particularly on long journeys and when the vehicle is loaded. Sports-like driving also requires the correct tyre pressure or even slightly higher than normal pressures.
Slow loss of pressure
Slow loss of pressure on the interior of the tyre is a particularly deceptive process, often impossible to detect even for experienced drivers.
Due to the loss in pressure and the resulting increase in temperature, the different tyre materials heat up in such a way that they may detach from each other and there may be separation of the tyre polymer mixture.
The result is almost always a useless tyre → Chapter.
The cause for the slow pressure loss cannot always be determined because the tyre is severely damaged and structural components of the tyre are missing.
