  Note
   
Do not touch or oil or apply any other substances to the seal on the centre of the plate -illustration -, otherwise leaks will occur.
The lock plate and circlip must always be replaced. → Parts catalogue . Do not use a hammer for fitting the lock plate, the centre seal must never be touched by hand or oiled.

–  Hold the lock plate by hand only as shown -illustration-.
–  The new lock plate must always be clean and free of oil in the area of the centre seal
–  Clean away any possible impurities that may exist on the multiple clutch connection shaft before fitting.
–  Only the exterior seal may be moistened using DSG oil.

–  Fit the slider -T10302- on a flat horizontal surface.
Very carefully fit the lock plate onto the slide -T10302-.
  Note
Any type of impact or slight deformation of the lock plate, will subsequently lead to possible leaks in the hydraulic circuit.
–  Very carefully fit the lock plate onto the slide -T10302-. This operation is used to adapt the seal lip for subsequent fitting.
–  Remove the slide -T10302- from the lock plate.
–  Fit the slide -T10302- multiple clutch connection shafts.
–  Very carefully fit the lock plate onto the multiple clutch assembly.
  Note
Any type of impact or slight deformation of the lock plate, will subsequently lead to possible leaks in the hydraulic circuit.

–  Guide the lock plate and connect it horizontally to the sleeve, press evenly on the seat.

–  Very carefully lever the lock plate using a “screwdriver”, in order to insert the new securing ring -arrow-, ensure that the securing ring → Item is correctly seated.
