Electronic anti-theft system
Electronic anti-theft system
The radio/navigation system is equipped with an electronic anti-theft system.
If the electronic anti-theft protection is activated, the light emitting diode (top right in front plate) flashes when the radio unit and ignition is switched off.
After the radio/navigation system is switched on, the light emitting diode goes out and the system is ready to use.
The anti-theft alarm becomes effective and locks the system as soon as
t  the voltage supply (terminal 30) drops below a predetermined value,
t  the radio part fuse is blown,
t  the battery (terminal 30) is disconnected to perform work on the vehicle,
t  the radio navigation system is installed in another vehicle,
t  the dash panel insert is changed.
When the system has been locked via the electronic anti-theft alarm, this is indicated by “SAFE” being displayed in the display when the unit is switched on.
