Reversing camera -R189-: Removing and installing
The reversing camera -R189- is installed in the handle button of the rear lid. The handle button must not be dismantled. In the event of damage, the complete handle button with reversing camera must be renewed.
  Note
Each time the reversing camera -R189- is removed, the reversing camera has to be recalibrated → Chapter.
Removing:
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and take out ignition key.
–  Remove the lower trim of tailgate → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.70
   
–  Release and detach both plug connectors -3- of the cameral wiring harness.
–  Release connector -5- and disconnect.
–  Unscrew the fixing nuts -7-.
–  Remove the sheet plate covering of the tailgate -6-.
–  Unlock both fasteners -arrows- on the side and press the gripping keys with the reversing camera to the tailgate.
–  Remove reversing camera from the tailgate.
Installing:
For fitting, the operations are carried out in reverse order to the removal, taking the following into account:
Tightening torque of the fixing nuts: 6 Nm
In order to prevent structure-borne sound, secure the cable of the reversing camera again with another cable tie.
–  Following installation, clean the lens of the reversing camera with a lint-free cloth in order to ensure for a clear picture in the future.
–  Readjust the system → Chapter.
