Complementary information on repairs to the CAN bus cables
Complementary information on repairs to the CAN bus cables
   
Unscreened cables are used for the CAN bus cabling -1- and -2- with a thickness of 0,35 mm² o 0,5 mm².
Colour coding of the CAN bus cables:
  N97-0261
-Cable CAN-High, engine⇒ orange/black
-Cable CAN-High, comfort⇒ orange/green
-Cable CAN-High, infotainment⇒ orange/purple
-Cable CAN-Low (all)⇒ orange/brown

t  Only use yellow cables when repairing the support wiring. Mark the points where repairs have been made with yellow adhesive tape
t  In case of repairs, both bus cables should be of the same length. On braiding cables -1- and -2- keep the distance A=20mm
t  When braiding cables, there must be no sections of cable more than 50 mm (=B) in length without a braid for example in soldered joins -arrow-
