Coding immobilizer control unit -J362- (W-wire), vehicle 09.97 ► |
Note! t
| Vehicles from 06.00 ► one of two different versions are installed depending on the engine. On one version the immobilizer control unit and engine control unit communicate with one another via the data bus, on the other version this communication is via W-wire. |
t
| The corresponding communication method should be determined beforehand using the display group 001 → Anchor via the “Read data block” function → Chapter. |
t
| Procedure if control units communicate via data bus → Chapter. |
The control units for 2nd and 3rd generation immobilizers are equipped with an automatic recognition for the Baud rate. This means that it is not necessary to code the control units. |
The correct data transfer speed between engine control unit and immobilizer control unit will be automatically stored in the immobilizer control unit. |
Note! t
| If the immobilizer control unit cannot detect the correct Baud rate, then the coding is set to the value “00000”. |
t
| The fault “Control unit defective” is stored in the fault memory → Anchor. |
