Testing cruise control system > < Testing clutch pedal switch F36
Activating and deactivating cruise control system (CCS)
Activating and deactivating cruise control system (CCS)
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552 - with cable -V.A.G 1551/3, 3A, 3B, 3C-
Test conditions
l  No fault should be stored in the fault memory → Chapter.
Test sequence
–  Connect vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552-. Switch ignition on and select address word 01 “Engine electronics” → Chapter.
   
Readout on display, e.g.:
If “MARELLI 4LV G” is displayed, CCS is activated.

If “MARELLI 4LV” is displayed, CCS is not activated.

–  Press and select function 11 “Login procedure”.
Enter the code number by referring to table below and confirm entry with Q.

–  Select function 06 “End output” and switch ignition off.
After activating the cruise control system perform a test drive as a functional test.
