Removing and installing the over-centre helper spring
Removing and installing the over-centre helper spring
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Pliers -T10005-
Removing
–  Removing bottom part of dash panel → Body Work; Rep. Gr.70.
–  Remove clutch pedal switch -F36- → Chapter.
   
Unlock the actuating rod/master cylinder from the clutch pedal as follows:
–  Insert pliers -T10005- in the clutch pedal recesses.
–  Compress the support and separate the clutch pedal from the master cylinder.

–  Press over-centre helper spring towards the front wall -in the direction of the arrow- and remove downwards from the bracket.
Install
  S30-0064
–  Insert bearing for over-centre helper spring -arrow 1- in the bracket.
The peg of the bearing is located in the recess of the master cylinder -arrow 2-.
–  Insert over-centre helper spring in the bearing.
  S30-0068
–  Press over-centre helper spring towards the bearing and position on the support of the clutch pedal -arrow-.
–  Connect clutch pedal to master cylinder → Chapter.
–  Installing the clutch pedal switch → Chapter.
–  Installing bottom part of dash panel → Body Work; Rep. Gr.70.
