Removing and installing V-ribbed belt for vehicles with air conditioning system
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Locking pin -T10060A-
t  Pliers for spring strap clamps
  Note
t  Mark the rotation direction before removing the V-ribbed belt. Reversing the rotation direction of an already used belt may destroy it.
t  Pay attention to the correct position of the V-ribbed belt in the belt pulley when installing it.
Removing
–  Remove engine cover → Chapter.
   
–  Remove charge-air pipe at the top -1- with connecting hose -2-.
–  Mark the rotation direction of the V-ribbed belt.

–  Loosen the V-ribbed belt by turning the tensioning pulley in the -direction of the arrow-.
  S13-0647
–  Lock tensioning pulley with locking pin -T10060A-.
–  Remove the V-ribbed belt.
Install
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
–  Inspect the V-ribbed belt:
t  → BookletFabia
–  Check smooth operation of belt pulley and tensioning pulley.
  Note
t  Before fitting the V-ribbed belt make sure that all assemblies (generator and AC compressor) are securely mounted.
t  Pay attention to the correct position and rotation direction of the V-ribbed belt in the belt pulley when installing it.
After finishing the work always:
–  Start engine and check belt run.
