  WARNING
It is essential to disconnect the battery earth strip before working on parts of the gas discharge headlight which are marked with a yellow high voltage symbol on vehicles which are fitted with gas discharge headlights.
Observe use and safety instructions for gas discharge lamps see Electrical System - General notes → Electrical System - General notes; Rep. Gr.94.
  Note
t  Before disconnecting the battery determine the code of radio sets fitted with anti-theft coding.
t  Pay attention to the work sequence when re-connecting the battery → Chapter.
t  The ignition-high voltage unit of the right headlight is attached to the bottom of the lock carrier.
t  The ignition-high voltage unit of the left headlight is attached to the plastic covering behind the headlight socket.
Removing
The headlight on the right:
   
–  Press the spring in the -arrow direction-
–  Push the assembly in the direction of engine compartment.
Both headlights:
–  Remove headlight → Chapter.
–  Disconnect the connector -3- of the ignition unit.
–  Remove plastic cover.

–  Detach the ignition unit -1- from the discharge lamp.
Install
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
