Removing and installing taximeter HALE
Removing and installing taximeter HALE
  WARNING
Disconnect earth strap from the battery before commencing work on the electrical system.
  Note
t  Before disconnecting the battery determine the code of radio sets fitted with anti-theft coding.
t  After connecting the battery, perform the following:
–  on vehicles with radio encoding, carry out the coding,
–  set clock,
–  initialise power windows on vehicles fitted with power windows → Octavia.
t  After installing the printer in the vehicle, a new original lead seal must be used.
Removing
–  Remove interior light → Chapter.
   
–  Unscrew screw -1- and slacken the taximeter -5- with bracket -2- and rear cover -6-.
–  Screw out 2 screws on the rear cover -6-.
–  Remove the taximeter -5- from the bracket -2- and remove the cover -6-.
–  Dispose of the lead seal and screw out the screw -4-.
–  Remove the cover -3- by pulling it off.
–  Disconnect the plug connections and remove the taximeter from the vehicle.
Install
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
