S2*=Inserted washer
 -average interlocking clearance
 +Pre-load (constant)

Pre-load (targeted average value for the interlocking clearance) = 0.20 mm
Example:
   
S2*Inserted washer1.75 mm
-average interlocking clearance0.30 mm
  1.45 mm
+Pre-load (constant)0.20 mm
S2=1.65 mm

  Note
Assign the adjusting washers via the → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts.

–  Install determined adjusting washer S2 instead of S2*.
If the measured washer thickness is greater than the one listed in the table, 2 washers corresponding to the measured value may be fitted.
–  Different tolerances allow to measure the required thickness for each washer very precisely.
–  Press in again outer ring and insert head bevel gear/drive shaft.
