Removing and installing the convenience system central control unitJ393
Removing and installing the convenience system central control unit -J393-
  Note
The central control unit for convenience system -J393- is no longer fitted as of MY 2009 (Facelift). The vehicle voltage control unit -J519- takes over its functions.
Removing
–  Switch off all electrical components and take out the ignition key.
–  Remove the storage compartment in the dash panel on the front passenger side → Body Work; Rep. gr.70.
   
–  Release screws -1- (2 Nm).
–  Remove bracket -3- with control unit -2-.
–  Push the control unit out of the bracket -arrow-.
–  Disconnect the plug -4- and subsequently remove.
Install
Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the following points:

After the installation, the new control unit must be coded with the → Vehicle diagnostic tester and subsequently adapted → Chapter.
