Central control unit for convenience system -J393-
General description
The important functions of the central control unit for convenience system -J393- include:
t  Sliding/tilting roof control (enable command)
t  Window lifter control (enable command)
t  Central locking control
t  Anti-theft warning system control
t  Tailgate locking
Some of the above mentioned functions can be adapted see → Chapter.
  Note
t  Further information and description of function → No.54.
t  After the installation, the new control unit must be coded with the → Vehicle diagnostic tester and subsequently adapted → Chapter.
t  The central control unit for convenience system -J393- is no longer fitted as of MY 2009 (Facelift). The vehicle voltage control unit -J519- takes over its functions.
Fault recognition and fault display
The central control unit for convenience system -J393- is equipped with self-diagnosis, which facilitates the fault finding.
For fault finding use the → Vehicle diagnostic tester in the function „Targeted fault finding“.
