About Škoda

Škoda was established in 1896 as the successor to Laurin & Klement and is based in Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic. It was state-owned from 1948, was privatised from 1991 and became a wholly owned part of the Volkswagen Group in 2000. Škodas share their platforms and engines with Volkswagen, SEAT and Audi models.

What's here

  • Factory manuals for the Fabia (Mk1 and Mk2), Octavia (Mk1 and Mk2), Superb, Roomster and Yeti, arranged by system (power unit, running gear, body and so on) rather than by engine.

Tip: the Octavia Mk1 and Mk2 share their platforms with the Volkswagen Golf Mk4 and Mk5, so many engines and parts are the same.

Skoda Haynes manual alternative

Looking for a Haynes manual for your Skoda Yeti, Fabia, Octavia or another Skoda? The Skoda workshop and service manuals here are the manufacturer's own factory manuals – the ones written for dealer technicians – and they are free to read online: no PDF to download, no sign-up.

A Haynes manual is written by stripping down one car and photographing the job. A factory service manual covers the Skoda models listed on this page with the manufacturer's own procedures, specifications and tightening torques. Prefer the printed Haynes Skoda manual? Find it on Amazon (opens Amazon in a new tab) Factory manual or Haynes manual?
