Check attachment of engine pump aggregate TRW
   
Check attachment of engine pump aggregate TRW
–  Check attachment of holder -3- with engine pump aggregate to body -arrows-.
–  If necessary tighten screws.
–  Check attachment of holder at engine pump aggregate → Chapter and if necessary tighten nuts to the specified tightening torque, while doing so counterhold rubber bearings.
  Note
To test the rubber bearing for damage, the engine pump aggregate and the holder must be removed.
–  Removing engine pump aggregate → Chapter.
–  Check rubber bearing (3) for damage, e.g. tears, separation of the metal plates with threaded bores from the rubber bearing.
–  If damaged replace rubber bearing → Chapter.

Tightening torques:
Pipe screw for return line to power steering gear TRW30 Nm
Hollow screw for pressure line to power steering gear TRW
t  Use new hollow screw!
35 Nm
Pipe screw for pressure line to engine pump aggregate TRW30 Nm
Holder with engine pump aggregate TRW to body
t  Use new screws!
20 Nm + 90°
Holder to engine pump aggregate TRW7 Nm
Rubber bearing to engine pump aggregate TRW7 Nm
Power-steering gear TRW to assembly carrier
t  Use new screws!
50 Nm + 90°
