Common gear damage: Lack of shaft grip on all gears

t  Possible damage:
Driver -arrows- at ATF pump gear is broken off.

t  Causes
A - when installing gearbox or engine, the torque converter is not fully inserted. check fitting dimension → Chapter.
  V32-0069
B - Centering bush for torque converter -arrow- is not inserted into the crankshaft → Engine; Rep. Gr.13.
  A13-0225
C - One or two dowel sleeves -A- for centering at flange of engine/gearbox not inserted. Dowel sleeves or holes in gearbox flange damaged.
  Note
Do not pay attention to -pos. 1…9-.

D - Incorrect fitting position of the driver plate for torque converter, driver plate is not fastened with the correct spacer washer -1- at engine or spacer washer -1- and washer -2- switched → Engine; Rep. Gr.13.
t  Required measures:
–  Disassembling ATF pump and inspecting; remove broken off drivers.
  Caution
Broken off drivers must be searched for in each case and removed.
