Removing and installing high level brake light
Removing
–  Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.
–  Remove the top tailgate trim panel → Body Work; Rep. gr.70.
   
–  Press the catch pegs -arrows- and slacken the high level brake light from the tailgate.
–  Disconnect the plug connection.
Install
–  Connect the plug to the brake light and insert the light into the assembly opening in the tailgate.

–  Insert a small screwdriver consecutively into the openings -arrows- and pull it across until the catch pegs click audibly into place.
  Note
The high level brake light does not have a bulb but is fitted instead with LEDs. Replacement of the individual LEDs is not possible so the brake light must be replaced as a complete unit in the event of a fault.
