Metering Rod: Adjustments

NOTE: Metering rod should be checked after adjusting accelerator pump.

1.

With air horn removed, remove tamper proof plug.

2.

Using a dial indicator, measure the distance from idle position with engine stopped to position where metering rod bottoms in main well.

3.

The metering rod should travel .050 inch.

4.

To obtain proper setting, adjust metering rod lifter link screw.
