Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair
Rear Outer Handle
REMOVAL
1. Remove the rear door trim. <Ref. to REMOVAL, Rear Door Trim.>
2. Remove the sealing cover. <Ref. to REMOVAL, Rear Sealing Cover.>
3. Remove the rear door latch assembly. <Ref. to REMOVAL, Rear Door Latch Assembly.>
4. Remove the two bolts and nut. Remove the rear outer handle.
CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to remove the door panel. This will deform it.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: Make sure the outer handle works properly after installation.
INSPECTION
1. Make sure the rod is not deformed.
2. Make sure the lever and rod work smoothly.
