Mudflap - Installation Procedures

SUBJECT:
MUDFLAP INSTALLATION PROCEDURE ADDENDUM TO SERVICE BULLETIN 15-63-88 DATED 10-10-88
CUT THE END OF THE STONE CHIP PROTECTOR 1/2" BELOW THE TOP OF THE MUDFLAP SO THAT THE CUT END IS COVERED BY
THE MUDFLAP.
To install the mudflaps, use the following procedure:

Align the mudflap on the fender.
^
Mark the top of the mudflap on the chip protector.
^
Measure 1/2" below the first mark and make a second mark to allow the chip protector to extend below the top of the mudflap.
^
Pry off the button located at the bottom of the chip protector.
^
Using a pair of diagonal cutters, cut off the chip protector at the second mark. Cut between the metal teeth.
^
Make sure the remaining section of the chip protector on the fender is securely in place.
^
Install the mudflaps according to the instructions found in the mudflap kit.
