To reduce the possibility of the front camshaft oil seal coming unseated, resulting in an engine oil leak, the factory has reduced the width of the front
camshaft oil seal. The part number and width of seal have changed as follows:

Installation
Install the new seal such that the seal's outer surface is flush with the machined surface surrounding the seal bore.
For ease of seal installation, the front cam bearing cap may be removed. If the bearing cap is removed, retorque the bearing cap bolts and cylinder head
cover bolts to their specified torques.
Caution
If the seal outer surface is recessed within the seal bore, (driven too far in) the oil seal may restrict the oil return passage resulting in premature oil seal
failure.
Inspect the timing belt for oil contamination. If there is any contamination or residue, the belt must be replaced. Reference the service manual (page
6A-13) for installation procedures. Upon completion, operate the vehicle and inspect for oil leaks.
