8. Remove steering gear case mount bolts, gear case brackets and then gear case.

INSTALLATION 

1. Mount steering gear case to body and tighten gear case mount bolts to specified torque.

Tightening Torque (a): 25 Nm (2.5 kg-m, 18.5 ft. lbs.) 

2. Install tie rod ends to knuckles (R & L). Tighten each castle nut until holes for split pin align but within specified torque and then bend split pin as

shown.
Tightening Torque (b): 45 Nm (4.5 kg-m, 33.0 ft. lbs.) 

NOTE:  Removed split pin should be replaced with new one.

3. Be sure that steering wheel and brake discs (R & L) are all straight ahead driving state and then insert steering lower joint into steering pinion

shaft.

4. Tighten steering shaft joint bolts to specified torque (Lower side first and then upper side).

Tightening Torque (c): 25 Nm (2.5 kg-m, 18.5 ft. lbs.) 

5. Reinstall cover removed previously to steering shaft joint.
