Hood Latch Release Cable: Service and Repair
Installation

DOOR / HATCH: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Tie the string that was passed through the engine compartment to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

(b) Pull the string until the hood lock control cable grommet contacts the dash panel, and then connect the clamps shown in the illustration to

install the cable to the engine compartment.

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

(b) Attach the 3 claws to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

(c) Attach the clamp.

4. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH   See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

(b) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.
