Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Speed Sensor, Rear

REMOVAL 

1. DISCONNECT SPEED SENSOR CONNECTOR

a. Remove the seat cushion and seatback.
b. Remove lower center garnish, rear door scuff plate and room partition trim.
c. Disconnect the speed sensor connector, and pull out the sensor wire harness with grommet.
d. Remove the 2 clamp bolts holding the sensor wire harness to the body and suspension shock absorber.

Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.) 

2. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR

Remove the speed sensor from the axle carrier.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.) 

3. IF NECESSARY, REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB

Torque: 80 Nm (820 kgf-cm, 59 ft. lbs.) 

INSTALLATION 

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

HINT:  After installation, check speed sensor signal.
