PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE (for Torsion Beam Type Suspension): REMOVAL

REMOVAL

CAUTION:  Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS
airbag system before servicing the parking brake cable  See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Service Precautions.
HINT:

Perform the same procedure for the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

The procedures listed below are for the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

CAUTION:  Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
