(b) Using SST and a press, in a new bearing.

6.  INSTALL NEW OUTER OIL SEAL

-

Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal.
SST 09608-30012 (09608-04020, 09608-04070)

7.  INSPECT BEARING CASE

-

Check for wear or damage.

-

If necessary, replace the bearing case.

8.  REPLACE BEARING CASE

(a)  Remove the oil seal and bearing.
(b) Install the nuts to the serrated bolts.

(c)  Using a hammer, tap out the serrated bolts and remove the bearing case.
(d) Position the backing plate on a new bearing case and using 2 socket wrenches, press in the serrated bolts.
(e)  Install a new bearing and oil seal.

9.  INSPECT OIL SEAL

Check for wear or damage. If necessary, replace the oil seal.

10.  REPLACE OIL SEAL

(a)  Using SST, remove the oil seal.

(b) Apply MP grease to a new oil seal lip.
