Spark Plug: Service and Repair
Removal

2ZR-FXE ENGINE CONTROL: IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

(a) Remove the windshield wiper motor and link    See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper

Motor/Removal.

2. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Brakes and Traction Control/Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Brake

Booster/Service and Repair/Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Removal

4. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 4 ignition coil connectors.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coils.

NOTICE:
When removing each ignition coil, do not damage the plug cap on the engine head cover opening or the upper edge of the spark plug
tube.

5. REMOVE SPARK PLUG

(a) Using a 14 mm spark plug wrench, remove the 4 spark plugs.
