Using the transmission jack raise the transmission slightly so as to allow the removal of the original rear engine insulator (rear transmission
mount).

5.

Install the new rear engine insulator.

6.

Install the rear engine insulator onto the transmission with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 65 N*m (663 kg*cm, 48 ft*lbf)

7.

Install the 4 bolts retaining the rear engine insulator to the # 3 frame crossmember.

Torque: 18.9 N*m (189 kg*cm, 13.67 ft*lbf)

8.

Test drive the vehicle and confirm the effectiveness of the repair.

Replace Rear Engine Insulator (Rear Transmission Mount) - 4WD

1.

Place the vehicle on a lift.

2.

Support the automatic transmission assembly using a transmission jack assembly.
